Letter from the President

Thank you for visiting the website of the Professional Institute of Massage Therapy. I am Rob Thomas, President and Administrator of the Calgary campus.

I am so proud of the heritage we have built of developing great massage therapists for over 15 years now. This history of excellence comes from combining sound academics and practical skills with some of the most outstanding teachers in the field. Those components along with great teaching facilities means success for our graduates.

Ever since our start in 1992 we have tried to build something special. We have maintained a "small-school" approach with a personal touch. This means that we try to do what's best for our students in order to provide one of the most thorough massage therapy programs in Western Canada and North America. We recognize that our students drive our success and I thank each and every one of them for trusting us with their educational needs.

Finally, we are pleased to be active in our communities. We owe this to our staff and students who dedicate their time and effort to "give back" in all the cities that we operate in. Recently we have participated in the 2008 Kinsmen Telemiracle, the 2008 BMO / NHL Alumni 3 on 3 Pond Hockey Event, the Winnipeg Grey Cup and you will see us at the 2009 Tim Horton's Brier in Calgary.
