Meet the Members of Our Faculty
- Rob Thomas, B.S.P.E., RMT · President, Administrator, Instructor
- Rob completed a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education with a minor in Physiology in 1991 (University of Saskatchewan). He followed that with a massage therapy diploma from Professional Institute of Massage Therapy in 1993. He began teaching at PIMT in 1993 and became the Administrator of the Saskatoon campus in 1994. Rob opened the Winnipeg campus in October 1994.
Rob has spent years focusing on the curriculum of the school. He developed the 2,200 hour program used in Saskatoon and Winnipeg and also developed the Sport Training and Therapy program that is now being taught in Saskatoon.
In 1997 Rob became President of Professional Institute of Massage Therapy. His focus is on trying to improve the schools in some way every day. While people notice the big changes, it is sometimes the small changes that end up having the biggest impact.
Rob operates the Calgary campus where Massage Therapy and Personal Fitness Training are taught. He and his wife Karen have two boys, Josh and Danny.
Rob enjoys golfing and running in half marathons.

- Jonathon Boudreau, RMT · Instructor
- A graduate of the ICT Northumberland College 2,200 hour program in Halifax, Nova
Scotia, Jonathon specialized in Sport Massage and Myofascial Release.
Jonathon has been working in a clinical setting since 2003. He enjoys
softball, golfing and reading.
Jonathon teaches massage theory and practical, anatomy, pathology and
therapeutic exercise. He is active in a variety of charitable causes where
he donates his time and skills as a massage therapist.

- Brandon Hisey, BSc · Instructor
- Brandon received a BSc in Biomechanics (Kinesiology) from the University of Calgary in 2006. He is currently working towards an MSc, also in biomechanics. More specifically, he is specializing in muscle mechanics, physiology, and contractile theory.
Brandon has been a teaching assistant for Gross Human Anatomy, Anatomy and Physiology for Biomedical Engineers. Brandon has extensive knowledge in anatomy and physiology. Brandon teaches our Anatomy and Physiology classes and Kinesiology.

- Sarah Kells, RMT · Instructor
- Sarah is a graduate of the 2200 hour program in Saskatoon. She teaches Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology and Hydrotherapy. Sarah also teaches our Relaxation Massage Certificate Course.
Sarah brings her experience from the spa industry to the school and helps provide the well-rounded education we are so proud of at the Institute.
Sarah was a member of the Canadian Dance Teachers Association before entering massage, receiving a variety of individual awards.
